The Blades were started by an Assassain who gathered around many of the most powerful Dark elf warriors and Wirch elves, the Blades job was to protect the Dark elf king Malekith. They were like he's shadow following him everwhere. One invasion to Ulthuan the Blades had their biggest challenge were the high elves had ambushed them killing off most of the blades that defended their king, Blade himself managed to pull out unharmed but hes knives were put to good use killing at least 12 Elves. Blade's Apprentice survived with a few cuts but still killed off quite a few. As the ambush got fended off Blade had found one of the main commanders but was spotted by several White Lions who charged at him. As ones ax was about to fall on Blade, hes apprentice run through slicing the White Lion clean in half, and as the body fell the 2 assassain's killed all without mercy. The Commander was then captured and was at the mercy of King Malekith, who tortured him beyond recognition and threw hes broken body for the feeding of the Manticore. The Blade's had served their purpose by protecting their lord but at the cost of every Dark elf Except Blade and hes Apprentice. The Dark elf lord Malekith let Blade take he's Apprentice and go find new peope to be their honour gaurd they must be strong and efficient, so Blade created he's Blood Bowl Legion...anyone who could live from that would be strong and efficient
