Faithful servant George entered the laboratory, cautiously looking for his master "About time" Said a voice George paused for a moment reflecting on his miserable luck a year ago "Is it done?" "Yes m-m-my Lord" he stammered "Good, come and look at them, Tell me what you think" George gazed at the undead horrors with their assortment of pads & helmets before him and did a quick count, something was missing "theres only 10? You need 11 to play Blood Bowl"
The necromancer smiled and leaned forward "Oh my dear George, but i DO! have 11 players"

Repeat and perhaps a Threepeat?
Sultry Sandra reporting with all of last night’s action of the BABBL Grand Final The stage was set for a huge Div A clash,
The Eshin Stills had been playing like serious contenders, easily dispensing of there semi final opponents 6-1 in a embarrassing encounter, which many wondered if they would be able to pull off after a bruising quarter final win where they lost 2 main stay players, which without a doubt crippled them. But none the less still managed to bring a full 11 to the Pitch to contest the final
GB&R, on the other hand had suffered a similar fate. losing the captain of the team in the quarter finals which saw them advance to the semis, only to face one of the leagues most bruising teams if not THE most. This game saw them lose another player, this time one of the notorious flesh golems that stubbornly holds GB&R’s line of scrimmage.
The stage was set and a massive 82 thousand fans packed the stands to see these 2 teams that have a rivalry that stenches back from the first season, which saw the Stills break GB&R’s winning streak, and one of the few teams that on numerous occasions that been able to upset GB&R.
The coin toss was won by GB&R and elected to receive, the stills set up a standard defence not committing to either side of the field and with there superior movement they would easily be able to cover GB&R’s offence. The kick was deep but the wind guided the ball to the sideline just keeping in the field of play, GB&R moved up and clamed field position, putting a hit on the star thrower of the Stills, while playing it safe in covering the ball. The Stills came through the GB&R offence fast as ever with both Gutter Runners, placing a hit on the back field defender for GB&R. Still a few feet from the ball carrier himself, just as the hit was carried out almost on cue a bright flash saw the ball carrier for GB&R turn into a flog spilling the ball free, with nobody back field to recover it, GB&R players tried to get back field to protect the lose ball. But the seasoned Stills Gutter runners were too fast and agile as they dominated the back field and easily went in for an early 1-0 lead. Over zealous TD celebrations saw one of the Stills Gutter runners Ko’ed by a stray bottle from the sideline, whilst franticly Coach Sparticus worked to remove the curse from his Star Ghoul.
The second drive saw GB&R push the ball up field in usual clinical manner, placing well rehearsed hits on Still players as they struggled to contain the Offence that was quickly overwhelming them. A few turns later saw GB&R star Ghoul spike the ball into the ground as he crossed the Stills line untouched bringing the score to 1-1.
With 4 turns left in the First half the stills knew they had the upper advantage and could sense an opportunity to put a firm grip on the match, by scoring late in the half denying GB&R a chance to answer. Stills players ran forward with a strong well rehearsed offence which caught GB&R players off guard and out manoeuvred, while the Ball carrier was flanked left and right by Stills defenders. GB&R covered the offence best they could thou sensing that they were going to be unable to contain this offence decided to switch defence into offence. A risky play which payed off HUGE, a lone wolf was able to get by the stills defenders and place a hit on the ball carrier knocking him to the ground. The rest of GB&R defenders clambered to the ball. Stunned Gutter runners turned to find that offence had quickly turned into defence, scrambled back. A huge maul ensued around the ball with both teams fighting for field position. The Stills managed to come away with the ball and tried to set up a last turn play, but were unable to cross the line.
The stills had elected to go with a strong left side offence, giving them advantage of numbers whilst negating the slower zombies of GB&R who would have to scramble to stop the play. Stills securing the ball down field set up a sideline run, while GB&R defenders ran to cover, easily stunning one of the Gutter runners removing him as a scoring opportunity leaving only a single Gutter runner to cover. In usual Stills form they took on the defence, using their superior movement and agility to expose the weakness in the defence. But just as the Gutter runner had cleared the defences he tripped and spilled the ball into the crowd, sensing the opportunity to affect the result for their team the crowd erupted into a massive brawl which saw the ball get thrown mid field directly into the surprised hands of George! The Crowd went wild! Quickly George handed off to the rookie Ghoul who was eager to prove his worth and was on his way down field, once again offence had turned into defence for the Stills and too there credit managed to bring back a strong defence, but GB&R had gotten there first and were able to clear a path for the rookie to score his maiden TD in the BABBL final taking the score to 2-1.
In true champion form the Stills answered very quickly with a unseen play until now, easily splitting the defence of GB&R and allowed them a huge field position advantage. With defences split and stretched GB&R were unable to secure back field as they saw the Stills Gutter runners once again move the ball into the end zone evening the score 2-2.
With 4 turns left in the half Coach Sparticus order max ball protection, a play rarely seen by GB&R. Stills players unwilling to commit covered the ball waiting for the usual break away style of play that favours GB&R, but still they marched the ball up the pitch chewing up valuable time on the clock. Knowing that the game was on the line Stills star Gutter runner charged into the cage that GB&R had set up and put a hit on the ball carrier, but to no avail the ball was safe. Unable to secure the ball for any longer, GB&R players cleared the way for the ball carrier to sprint over for the TD giving them a 3-2 lead.
With 1 turn to score and to draw the game, both teams had been in this position before in previous games. GB&R set up a deep back field defence while the Stills set up for a Trademark play that could send the game into OT. The play worked GB&R players were pushed around forcing a huge maul which saw one of the Stills star Gutter runners emerge a little shook up from the pack and a little dazed. At that moment the ball appeared from back field from the second gutter runner placing it into the dazed hands of the other, which he was unable to secure, and fumbled the ball, dashing the hopes for the Stills fans for OT. GB&R win 3-2
Coach Sparticus had this to say to the media frenzy that ensued after the teams repeat finals performance I wish to thank the Stills coach for a great match and the rest of the BABBL teams for a great season. He also stated that the temptation to win a 3rd BABBL title was too tempting to pass up and GB&R WILL be defending their title for a 2nd season running.

GB&R EVICT all press!!!
Today all press was evicted from the GB&R tranning camp\graveyard, large fences appered over night locking off the compound, and nobody has been seen going in or out of the the staduim.
Rumors are abound as to the reason, GB&R have always welcomed the press and the press have enjoyed full accsess to the teams players.
Strange bursts of light have been seen from the tower of coach Sparticus's tower, at all hours of the day\night, already the BABBL executive leadership have tried to contact anyone from GB&R for a explanation, but no their has been no reply.
But i have little doubt it has something to do with the looming finals series that is due to take place, and GB&R as the defending title holders have all eyes on them, and i can assure you that any coach that makes the finals this season will be casting an eye one the GB&R roster, hoping to not draw them early in the finals series.
This Thursday is a top of the division clash, with the top of DIV A , vs DIV B high flyers the R'lyeh Summoners, which promises to be a sell out and if not the match of the season, GB&R are carrying form into the game with a 5-0 win over the Lords, in a brutal encounter for the lords. But the R'lyeh Summoners have shown they have the skills, and have been dominating Div B for the 2nd half of the season.
its sure to be a game that will affect the finals series for both teams, will GB&R knock these upstarts from there mists, or will GB&R be knocked from there perch? we will know on Thursday night SEE YOU THERE!!!!!

GB&R BABBL BOWL CHAMPIONS!!!
Thats right folks you heard it here, GB&R have taken out the Championship with some impressive offense that has has been the mainstay of their game all season, along with their defense, that some have described as 'Solid Rock'.
Losing the toss at the start of the match GB&R were asked to kick the ball off, the Bloodletters opened up with a barrage of huge hits that saw Ramis Hardious taken from the pitch badly hurt very early in the half. The Bloodletters moved the ball down pitch easily, captalizing on the shear weight of numbers that their offensive play manged to create for them. Scoring mid first half for a 1-0 lead, it left GB&R questioning their defensive play with only 6 players left upon the pitch after the TD was scored.
GB&R replied early with huge numbers on the Line of Scrimmage to counter the massive strength that has been deployed to halt the advance of the ball. None of it was to avail thou as the entire front line was brought to the ground. Coach Razwel probably realizing his mistake at this stage in setting his players so deep, as he was only able to bring 3 to halt the offensive line that has made a mockery of every team is has faced to date. John Paul , was able to maximise this poor defense and run in for a TD unmolested. Bringing the score to 1-1, with only a few turns in the half Bloods decided to test Father Nuffle and take advantage of the time on the clock, to take their time in pummeling GB&R's players to make for a softer 2nd half.
With the GB&R now receiving the ball, and the defensive line largely unchanged from the last time, coach Sparticus received and decided to run the same play as the first half, quickly establishing dominance of the scrimmage and advancing slowly, but a wiser coach Razwel, was prepared for this and was ready to commit more players to the defense thus halting the advance of GB&R for a few turns. However the dominance of the scrimmage allowed for GB&R to bring fresh players from the scrimamge to help in the advance and clear the way for Neville to rack up some rushing yards, making it to the end zone with 4 turns still left to play.
With 4 turns left in the grand final both teams were feeling the pressure, making both teams players to question themselves. Fear & doubt started to creep into their minds, both teams started to show signs of this as coach Razwel ordered a strong slow offensive play and maximum ball security, trying to get GB&R to commit to more players to the scrimmage. GB&R players were the first to blink as Sterling Silver was carried from the pitch dead!!!, taking full advantage of the superior numbers Bloods players set the play into motion, moving the ball very fast, and moving a receiving player into the end zone of GB&R, and a passing player breaking into the open. Though the pass went astray and fell well short of the end zone and the receiving player, GB&R players blinked yet again in failing to pick up the ball and move it forward. Bloods players poured in from everywhere, crowding the ball continuing their dominance on field, but it was to be Choc Mundine that would be the undoing, failing to free of himself of a defending player bringing their turn to a end. Seeing Bloodletters crowding the ball coach Sparticus unleashed the teams Wizard knocking 2 of the 3 Bloodletters players to the ground and when the dust had settled one of them had been knocked out. GB&R wanting to capitalize of the on ball advantage brought every available player in to help protect the ball, this was to be enough as the Bloods players were stretched to the limit, and it was extremely difficult to get near the ball let alone, get the ball and make the winning play. Though to their credit they tried and unfortunately failed an early dodge in the play to bring their turn to a early end and the Game, 2-1 to GB&R.
A great game and worthy of a BABBL championship.
Coach Sparticus today also released that GB&R will be returning next season to defend the Championship, though rumours are abound at this stage that team treasury has been spent on raising an Undead army but coach Sparticus says that they are for his legion of fans and nearby towns have nothing to fear, and is quoted in saying "thats stupid I do not have enough money to do that........... yet".

GB&R just released a statement regarding a mysterious "flu" that seemed to have spread though the entire team, Also released were details that the team was showing symptoms in their game vs Infernal Nightmares, last week. All of which GB&R seemed to shrug off to beat the Infernal Nightmares 2-0, thou their opposition definitely won the fight, in a bruising encounter, 4 players of GB&R were carried off the pitch, but it is unknown weather it was due to the "Flu" or just the general beatings that they sustained. When asked "Thou they won their last match, the game seemed to take its toll on the players was this a sign of weakness from GB&R".
