With a lineup of brand new players and a coach that's never coached the game before, the Ratskins will be happy to see the season out with ANY of the same starting players.

You can't block if the pitch is empty
The Ratskins had another friendly scheduled tonight against the Amazoninan Naked Nuns.
Starting with a full roster and a reserve lineman, expectations were high for the Plague City Ratskins.
Coach Zorn was looking the goods as a new coach as a few determined blocks opened holes in the Defense with enough room for Intrew DeGap to run home for the first TD of the match.
The kick was good and pinned the Nuns in the back of the field for a drive and the Skins swarmed into the backfield...This is where they came undone, with the Blitzrats and Runners moving up and letting the Nun WR's into the defensive backfield. After knocking down a few Rats, the nuns were on the money with their passing game and put the ball into the hands of a more than capable reciever.
The half ended with a brainless and deliberate foul on an already downed player The reff was on the ball and ejected the Ratskin player from the Stadium End of Half score : 1-1
The second half began with 3 Skins KO'd or worse and not able to take the field, couple this with the 4th player ejected and the Skins were again down to 8 players.
The Skins recieved the ball off the kick and sent players down each side and bolstered the middle giving options across the field. A perfect blitz saw Cair Nopna rip a hole along the sidelines. Rayken Claud gathers the ball and runs into the middle of the backfield to gather his wits around him and wait for players to get better field position.
The nuns riped into the Offensive line and knocked out another rat, Rayken runs up the field, passes the ball to Don Blinkk who hands off to Slycen Vaynes to run in for the Point.
The Amazons hit back quickly with the defensive lines spread far to think to present a trouble for the air heavy team. Another point on the board to Tie it up 2-2 with a kick and 2 play phases to follow.
That would end the Skins scoring for the night with the sheer weight of numbers against them. The skins kicked off with only 6 players on the field, of which only 2 were positional players.
A riot that dragged the game back a drive for both teams, however, put an end to thoughts of a well fought out draw. This was the Amazons needed to put the ball into the hands of a receiver and knocking the puss out of some Rats for the fun of it.
Zorn had some genuine chances but was let down by poor execution and luck from his players.

Coach Zorn "borrows" training tools.
After sending a runner to Coach McGinty's training room and hearing the pre-training music.
Zorn has decided that this is the way forward.

Skins vs Halflings - New vs New
Zorn lined up an option starting line against the pint sized Halflings in a pre-season freindly over the weekend.
With the help of stand in assistant coach (Da Boyz), Zorns Ratskins jumped to a quick 1-0 lead in the second play of the drive with come classy running by Juan Morestehp. Sending power players with the receivers down both sides of the field, the defense was stretched too thin and with the last breath leaving, he was in by a whisker.
The 'lings hit right back with Morg'n'Thorg punching a gaping hole on the defenses right hand side and slowly knocking the piss out of some Ratty goodness.
Off the extremely well placed kick, the defense got the jump on the Lings forcing a turnover, Rats swarmed everywhere after the Orksin. A dodgy recovery from Raken Claud, the pass was on and with the right side bing monstered by the Offense, effectively crowd surfing Slycen Vaynes and Fasteren Ewe who were torn apart by the Ling fans, and presumably served up later in the second half. The Rastkins got one of their star recievers into a quick catch position and with a bit of hard work, ran in the catch and took the score to 2-1.
Half time
Start of the half and a MUCH depleted Skins were playing for the win, but fate was to deal another card. Zorn made some bad choices and a halfling cage was formed around the carrier with Morg at the helm.
With the Skins hoping to pop the ball out, 3 blockers harassed the ball carrier 15 feet up the field...in the wrong direction...A cheap mistake from a new coach - Team owner WILL not accept this in the season proper, so consider Coach Zorn on notice !
The war of attrition was reaking havoc on the Skins with 5 players out of action, on what was to be the final drive of the game.
The halflings were within sight of the line, but their coach, who had been in this situation before, knew not to take the risk of Kicking back to the Ratskins and giving them another chance of crossing the line.
Rather than cross, the Lings took out the days frustration on the remaining Skins - sending another to the Doc/Halfling Pot.
A small victory for the Skins, in the last play of the drive, a lone Lineman K'annon Fo Der took down Morg'n'thorg
Halflings looked to the clock, waited for the last few seconds - ran the carrier and cage into the endzone to tie the game up at 2-2
Overall, a good result for the New team against the untested Halflings - Zorn has a lot to learn.
