Description
Sharman's Bloodletters

To the glory of the God of Blood, Sharman's troop have travelled the length and bredth of the Wastes, taking all challengers and beating them to a bloody pulp. The best of the best have made it this far and every member of the team is a champion through and through.

Sharman's Bloodletters performed strongly in the first season of the BABBL and are looking to step it up for season two. A narrow loss in the BABBL final has given them the hunger to defend their Rotgut Silver Spoon title and go for the cup in season 2.

Bloods Need to Improve
In a rare exclusive out of the heavily restricted training grounds for the Sharman's Bloodletters, this is Phil Ghouled reporting.

I asked star player Joe Calzaghe what the Bloods were doing to arrest their form slump in the all important fight. Joe pointed out the new boys in the corner, Darchinyan and Zoo were praying fervently to Khorne. “Vic and Zoo pray every day for a set of Claws, I can see its workin, just need to get Mike to train them in the important art of the pile driver and Sultan is teaching a few of the boys how to hit where it hurts. If Khorne favours us we can get those boys to develop and start helping the more experienced guys. When it all falls in to place you should see us winning the biff a bit more. And speaking of Biff, that Shatterjaws fella better watch out, the Bloods have made a pact, we are gonna get that show pony. Fancy claimin braggin right over hurtin goblins and snotlins, give me strength! Plus we got us a new Ogre, Butterbean ain’t attractive, smart, hygienic and he don’t have a pair of boots yet but if he can go the distance, nothin will stop us.”

He may be damnably ugly but Butterbean is the newest signing to the banner of Blood.

The Bean weighs in at a staggering 800lbs of pure flab and bad attitude.

Asked by this reporter what his goals were for the rest of the season? He responded by eating my microphone, I was glad I could remove my hand in time. Luckily for this reporter the brute was distracted by his two headed handler Yukata Niida. The pair went to practice their passing drills, and the goblin was soon flying.

The impression I got was that Bean is certainly hungry for the carnage out on the Astrogranite.

Coach Raz stated "We needed another big fella in the line, especially with the CDs and Goons that are running rampant in the Division. A couple of the players on the squad need to lift their games, there could be cuts if that don't happen. Now get out!!"

As I beat a hasty retreat from the struggling Bloods facilities a hungry looking Joe Flaysya on my trail, I got the feeling there was hope in the air for the season that is unfolding. They need to lift their game if they want to lift the cup.

Bloods Anticipate Hard Second Round
Sharman's Bloodletters have three potential rivals for the upcoming quarter finals. All of them are Division winners so they have been training extrenely hard over the extended break. Although they lacked the funds to pay consultant coaches the outstanding play of Joe Goddard has made him into a natural leader. With him in charge of the offense the Bloodletters have developed a passing game more akin to an elf team. Librado Andrade and Lenox Lewis are ready to capitalise on his brilliance.

The defencsive team is going well but they will be missing Coathanger Charlie II for the next game so the offense will have to take some of the pressure off an overworked D.

Joe Calzaghe is pumped for a big game and plans to "put the hurt on his oppents" by playing his usual styming style. Coach Razwel stated "Joe's D has been getting stronger and he has really cut down the back field penetration of the last few opponents, we will see. If he can stay in the game we are a chance in the next match."

Bloodletters Ready for Finals Redemption
After a hard fought regular season the Bloods are into another finals campaign. Coach Razwel states "I think we struggled this season against some good quality opponents, but we have had the best kill ratio in the league so our opponent for the first round should consider themselves warned. We are coming for your BLOOD. "Blood for the Blood God".

Although that statement indicates clealy what state of mind the Sharmans Bloodletters are in, their fragile defence has to be a concern. We asked key defender Oleg Maskaev his thought. "We have started working on a new defensive pattern that has helped, with only three touchdowns scored against us in the last three games, I would say that we are a little underdone but with Bernard Hopkins, Joe Calzaghe and Winky Wright all performing extremely well as a unit we are confident we can put the brakes on most outfits. They free me up to move about the pitch and that has reaped rewards."

Lenox Lewis is the new dark elf on the Bloods roster. He picked up the MVP in the last game of the regular season which could mean he gets a run if the Bloods can build a lead in a finals game. He is much quieter than former Bloodletter Choc Mundine on account of his tongue being removed when he was exiled from Naggaroth but he seems to be building confidence while he warms the Bloodletter's bench. It is a mark of the quality of the Bloods roster that he cannot get into the starting line up.

Time will tell if the Bloods can make another dash at the ultimate game of the season, but one thing is certain, they will bring the pain.

Chagaev quits amid controversy
Ruslan Chagaev has been dropped from the Bloods roster for speaking to his old boxing manager. This breach along with the his attitude after picking up a debilitating knee injury has prompted Chagaev to pack up the spikes and pick up his gloves for a comeback in the squared circle.

Chagaev has stated that the Stills placing a bounty of 30K on his head was the last straw and he has decided that he will pursue his first bout against a weakling skaven opponent in his attempt to take back is Wastes Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight title.

His team mates were not amused when told of Chagaevs departure stating that the Eshin Stills would pay for their heavy handed bounty. Big Mike Tyson even stated that "I will be out for blood when next I meet my Brethren from Eshin SSStillss." Choc Mundine merely stated that the team would now need to depend oven more heavily on "me" and it would be down to him singlehandedly to make a grab fro season two cup.
